Jamaica

We attended Chuck and Anna's wedding on a beautiful beach in Jamaica. We also took this opportunity to enjoy some rest, relaxation and fun for ourselves. It was an eventful week as we snorkeled every day at the reef about 30 yards from our resort. Plus we took a glass-bottom boat tour, did some wind surfing, poker, played pool, swimming, watched the local entertainment, did some shopping and partied with friends. So would we go back? YA MON! We will definitely go back.

Our Nanny Aunt Mikey

We are fortunate to have Aunt Mikey watch Zaylee as Ang and I enjoy a vacation together. She is very good with children. While she is visiting from Alaska, she plans to catch some hot Missouri Sun and enjoy our home in the country.

Memorial Day Celebration

We celebrated another Memorial Day Celebration at our house this weekend. It was another success and the weather cooperated with us very well. We played Rock Band, rode ATVs, ate BBQ, played Ladder Golf, had a treasure hunt, and lots of water fun. Good times. Thanks to everyone that made it out!

Kyla School Party

Kyla had a school party last week and we enjoyed a picnic with her classmates and teachers. After the meal we played in the park.

Zaylee is 4 Months Old

Zaylee is four months old already. Time has flown by. She weighs 17.5 pounds. Her smiles and attentiveness have been very enjoyable to Daddy and I. She is sleeping through the night for at least six hours. Her four month doctor appointment is this week where she'll get her second round of shots. We recently tested the waters with her in her exersauser and a jump-n-go. She likes to be sitting up so she can see everything going on around her. She is a blessing.

Zaylee Rolls Over

Tonight was the first time Zaylee rolled over on her own from her back to her belly. I noticed her streaching like she was going to try the past few days and tonight she succeeded. Before long she'll roll from her belly to her back.

LHS 15 Year Reunion

We celebrated our 15 year high school reunion this weekend. It was good to see everyone and catch up. Thanks to Haley for her help in coordinating the event. I hope more people will attend the 20th. It was also fun to visit my old stomping grounds and see what all has/hasn't changed.
I also visited the farm I was raised on and took a memorable walk on the property. I miss that place.

New Job with ING

I put in my notice with Chickasaw/USDA and I have accepted a new full-time remote Senior Software Engineer position with ING Financial Services. This opportunity gives me a chance to grow further professionally and be at home more with my family. I'll still be working with the Oracle/Stellent products and leading a team of four on a large growing project.

ING is a global financial institution of Dutch origin offering banking, insurance and asset management to over 75 million private, corporate and institutional clients in more than 50 countries. With a diverse workforce of about 120,000 people, ING comprises a broad spectrum of prominent companies that increasingly serve their clients under the ING brand and they are the third-largest defined contribution business in the U.S.

Finch Fest

Our finches are getting along well and welcome their new neighbors from the south. There were 11 in this picture, but I've seen more.

Our First Orioles

Our first Orioles flew in today. A nice couple. I figure they must travel in pairs. So now we have all sorts of color in our bird sanctuary.

Enjoying Zaylee

We've been enjoying Zaylee this weekend. She's been active by grabbing onto things, kicking her feet, raising her head, and trying to speak. It's fun to hear her babble to herself, and respond to us when we ask her questions.

Planting Lettuce

Kyla and I have been planting corn and clover for the wildlife, but we plant our lettuce up high so the rabbits don't steal it. Kyla said she can't wait to eat fresh salad again. (no she isn't that tall yet...she's standing on a bucket)
