Great Grandpa Henry DeNileon passed away last night at his nursing home in Denver, Colorado. We will miss him.

Helm Family Reunion
We attended the Helm family reunion in Denver this past weekend. It was great to see everyone again. I think it had been several years since we had a reunion. We sat around and talked, played some games, did some shopping and ate lots of yummy food.

Memorial Day Highlights
We hosted our third annual Memorial Day celebration this weekend. Highlights included a treasure hunt, water fight, ladder golf, badminton, ATV rides, celebrating Little Danny's birthday, eating good, and taking a little time to honor those loved ones we've lost.

Grandpa Helm Visit
Grandpa Helm visited Kyla, Zaylee and I in Garden City. We mosty just enjoyed the nature view from our back porch and visited. At 80 years old, he seems to be doing ok.

Easter 09
Kyla and I spent Easter with family in Springfield MO. Ken and Jacquie hosted the traditional meal and egg hunt at their house. The food was excellent. Kyla found the big money egg this year.

Congratulations to my cousin Mandi for graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology-Employment Relations from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. It was nice to see her and lots of family. Mandi is expecting a new baby in May. We also celbrated Sabastian's birthday.

Lindsey Thanksgiving 08
Thanksgiving dinner was at my Mom and Dads again. Ken, Jacquie and Billy were able to join us. After the feast we played some cards and then went to Branson and watched Noah the Musical.

Memorial Day Celebration
We celebrated another Memorial Day Celebration at our house this weekend. It was another success and the weather cooperated with us very well. We played Rock Band, rode ATVs, ate BBQ, played Ladder Golf, had a treasure hunt, and lots of water fun. Good times. Thanks to everyone that made it out!

Two New Babies
My mom reported some Helm family news today.
Erich and Kelli have a new granddaughter born to Jessica on 4-21. Emily Madison weighed 6lb 11oz and is 20" long.
Keith and Yvonne became grandparents 4-23 when Carmen delivered an 8lb 5oz boy named Jackson Keith. He is 19 3/4" long.
Both mom's and babies are doing well.

Grandpa Helm Visit
We enjoyed Grandpa's visit for three nights. It was nice to catch up with him and hear his stories. We took it easy and hung out on our property taking nature walks. He spotted a bobcat, fox, snake, shrew, several squirrels and of course the birds. We also enjoyed a gooseberry pie in his honor.

Visit from Karen
My Aunt Karen and her grandchildren visited our home on Saturday. Kyla had fun with her energetic cousins as they jumped on the trampoline, rode 4-wheelers, sledded, played card games, and watched a movie. Karen, it was so good seeing you again and I'm very happy you took some time to visit my family and I.

Heather’s Wedding
