Happy Birthday Heidi

It has been over 16 years since I've celebrated Heidi's birthday with her, so spending her 29th together meant alot to both of us. Justin met us in KC and took Brenna and Zaylee while Heidi and I went to Ameristar casino. We weren't big winners but we had a wonderful time and didn't mind the break from the girls either. Dinner was made when we got home and Justin helped Brenna make a nice birthday card. Thanks Justin for making this a great birthday.

All Smiles

I was finally able to capture a pic of Zaylee smiling. I'm anxious to see her smile intentionally, right now it's when she's tired.

Another Busy Weekend

We had another busy Weekend.
Friday night Kyla and I joined Danny and Marice to see Joel Osteen.
On Saturday Kyla, Angie, Zaylee, Heidi and Brenna went to Jaden's birthday party in Republic MO. We also got to see Uncle Ken and Aunt Jackie. Jackie seemed to be feeling well.
Then Saturday evening we went to Branson and watched the Jim Statford show.
On Sunday we played at the Splash Country Indoor Waterpark. I was proud of Kyla for going down the big-kid slides, plus we both enjoyed riding a tube down the lazy river.

Angie and Heidi also went to the Titanic Museum in Branson as I watched the kids.

Heidi and Brenna Visit

Angie's high school friend Heidi and her daughter Brenna are visiting with us for a week or so. They've been catching up on things and sharing baby raising stories. Kyla loves her new friend and likes to play Mommy and care for Brenna. Brenna is so adorable.

Granny and Grandpa's Five Grandchildren

Granny, Brandi and family visited our home this weekend. This was the first time all five grandchildren were together. Ang and I enjoyed their stay, and Kyla was surprised to see her cousins.

Zaylee is 4 weeks old

I can't believe Zaylee is almost a month old. Time is flying by way too quickly. She has her one month check-up next week and I'm sure she'll weigh in at least 8.5 lbs. She has been lifting her head more during tummy time, managed to roll over on her side, and makes lots of squeaks and grunts.

Valentines Together

Ang and I were going to go out to dinner, but changed our minds when we discovered the two hour wait. So we had a nice Valentines together at home instead. I grilled us some fat steaks and gave Ang a flowering plant & card. She gave me five Lottery tickets and I won $100 plus three free tickets.

Zaylee is 3 weeks old

It's been three wonderful weeks with Zaylee. She has been much better about sleeping at least six hours at night which is great. I've started to become accustom to her cries and know when she's hungry, needs a diaper change, or just wants to be held. Looking into her eyes and knowing that she depends solely on me is an amazing feeling. The end of my shots is in sight, only three more weeks. Everything is going well, be sure to check out all the new pictures that were added this week.

Zaylee is 2 weeks old

It's hard to believe that she's already two weeks old. At our check up this week Zaylee weighed in at 8.06 lbs and very good health. She continues to practice lifting her head to strengthen her neck muscles and has also been sleeping longer at night.
