OBITUARY (Peninsula Claion Online)
Longtime Soldotna resident Timothy "Tim" Frank Woodward, 55 died, Tuesday, April 28 after a battle with cancer with his family by his side.

To honor his request there will be no services.

Mr. Woodward was born on Aug 23, 1953 to Gloria and George Woodward in St Paul, Minnesota. As a young man, he met his life-long love, Terri Nohava in Omaha, Nebraska. They were married on Aug 26, 1981. They had two children Angela and Micheal Woodward. Mr. Woodward's passion was his floor covering business. At the age of 14, he got his first job in the floor covering trade. Mr. Woodward moved his family to Alaska in 1983 which is when he opened Tim's Floor Covering and began contracting through local businesses. Over his career, he became well known for his quality work and attention to detail. His passion for the trade shines through to his son, Micheal and two nephews, Scott and David. He took great pride in teaching them all he knew about the business. He was very proud of these accomplishments. Mr. Woodward loved to spend time with his daughter, Angela. They shared many road trips and always enjoyed their quality father daughter time together, never wasting a minute. Angela truly was "Daddy's little girl". Mr. Woodward loved his family and enjoyed his 4 grandchildren very much. He loved fishing and camping in the wilderness of Alaska with his family. He also loved to spend time on his Aunt and Uncle's farm fishing in North Dakota.

"Tim shared his life experiences as a loving father who always wanted the best for his family. He was one of the most generous and kind men you'll ever meet. He was always there for his family and friends no matter the situation, always without judgment. His funny stories, silly dance and contagious laugh will be memories forever. Until the day comes when we see him again, we will cherish our memories and never stop telling his stories," wrote the family

Mr. Woodward was preceded in death by his father, George Woodward.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Terri Woodward of Soldotna; daughter and son in-law, Angela and Justin Lindsey of Missouri; son and daughter in-law, Micheal Woodward and Rebecca Kesinger of Soldotna; grandchildren, Kyla, Haily, Zaylee and Reagen; mother, Gloria Woodward of Nebraska; brothers, Randy Woodward of Florida, Steve and his wife, Donna Woodward of Nebraska; sister and partner, Pam and Debbie Poe of Florida; sister in-law, Michelle Woodward; nephews, Scott and his wife, Mindi Woodward of Soldotna, David and his wife, Lindsey Woodward of Oregon; niece, Kelly and her husband, Nathan Johnson; nieces and nephews, Ellyce, Hunter, Alexandra and Cameron all of Soldotna, as well as many more family members in the lower 48.

Since Angie ran off to Alaska for a month with Zaylee, and Marcie ran off with Kyla to Florida, 37 days have passed since these sisters last saw each other. They were both very happy to reunite today.

Zaylee @ Daycare

Zaylee attended her first day at a daycare in KC today. It sounds like she had lots of fun with all the activities and meeting her new friends. She will attend five days a week while Angie is out of town, and three-four days when Angie returns. It was hard to drop her off today, but we know this will help grow her development skills and interact with others her age. She was happy to see me when I picked her up and quickly fell asleep in her car seat on the drive home. So precious.

Tim Update

I wanted to give everyone an update on my Dad. I've been in Alaska since March 18th to spend his final days by his side. While I've been here his health has slowly been declining. He sleeps more than ever before but is still able to do most things on his own. Last week my mom arranged for his doctors to sign an order for Hospice. On Thursday we met his new nurse Jane and then on Friday we met Lane - the social worker. Both women are very nice and my dad seemed comfortable around them.

Jane will be visiting my dad weekly and more often as the time goes on. They left us some material to read to help us deal with what will be happening with my dad during the final stages of this battle. The booklet I want to share is called "Gone From My Sight". Please keep my dad and family in your prayers.

I went fishing with Otey and Kirk on Sunday. All I reeled in was this 3" trout.

Still Restless

Mt. Redoubut has been quite active the past couple days and all predictions indicate it will remain that way for a while. It was a clear night so I captured a quick pic of the steam/ash cloud billowing out.

JustinLindsey.com v3.2

Today we modified the color scheme and made some minor adjustments. This site has been up and running since the mid 90s, so something new is kinda nice. More minor updates to come. Do you remember the other versions?

Puppies!

During my stay Aunt Mimi (Mindy) has graciously been babysitting Zaylee while I've been at work. I cannot describe how thankful I am for this. Aunt Mimi has two Labradors (Sadie and Charlie) which have become Zaylee's best friends. It took a few days for her to warm up to them, but now she chases them around yelling "puppies, puppies" and loves to give them treats.
