Kyla's First Day of Kindergarten

Kyla has been so very excited about this day all summer. She packed her own lunch last night and went to bed early. Marcie and I walked her in to school and attended the opening ceremony which included bagpipes, prayer and a hymn. It was a special day for me too and I'm happy we've decided to enroll her here. Whitefield Academy is ranked as one of the top ten private schools in the KC area. They use a classical Christian curriculum and consistently average in the 90th percentile nationally in standardized testing. It's a small school, with a wonderful staff.
At the end of the day, Kyla was really tired.

You sure are growing up fast! I'm glad your daddy and mommy could be with you on your first day of kindergarten. I know you will do well in school, and am glad you'll be in a Christian environment.
I love you!
